Swara Zankar music festival to begin today

Panaji: The Swara Zankar music festival will be held from 6pm onwards at Dinanath Mangeshkar Kala Mandir, Kala Academy, Panaji, on April 30 and May 1.
A host of renowned artistes will perform at the musical extravaganza. Indian classical musicians including Shrinivas Joshi, pandit Atulkumar Upadhye and Yehudi Menuhin are some of the artistes performing.
Dilshad Khan, who belongs to the Sikar Gharana of music, will enthrall the audience with a Sarangi performance.
Vocal artiste Pallavi Joshi, who will performing at the event, is a recipient of the national scholarship for Hindustani classical music. A vocal performance by Apoorva Gokhale promises to mesmerize the audience with skills honed since she was five.
Vijay Koparkar, one of the most popular artistes in the classical and semi classical music field in Maharashtra and Goa, will also be performing at the event.
