Riyadh: The Saudi security forces thwarted imminent car explosions in the Governorate of Bisha and killed two terrorists who refused to surrender themselves.
Interior Ministry spokesman Major General Mansour Al-Turki said that police patrols chased two cars outside the Bisha Province, in Asir province, adding one of the two vehicles was loaded with explosives.
When the drivers of the two cars felt that the security forces were following them, they started firing at them before heading to a desert area where they tried to hide in the mountains.
The units cordoned off the area, with the help of the security aviation, and killed the two terrorists who refused repeated calls urging them to surrender.
A security source said that one of the terrorists is Qkab Al-Otaibi who took part in the terror bombing which targeted the emergency forces in Asir last year. He was part of the terror group led by Said Al-Shahrani, which attempted to blow off the oil refineries in Abqiq.
