3 robbers nabbed

Dharwad: Three youths were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly robbing a man of Rs 15.69 lakh. Vidyagiri police nabbed Shafi Jamkhane, 28, Gousmohdin Shingoti, 27, of Old Hubballi and Rahul, 27, of Vidyanagar and recovered Rs 4.65 lakh cash, a Hero Honda CBZ motorcycle, a helmet and three cellphones.
On March, the trio had waylaid Manappa Shankarappa Kammar, administrator of JCB PNR showroom in Sattur, when he was carrying Rs 15,69,665 to be deposited in a bank in Navanagar.They threatened and snatched the bag containing the money from Manappa. Police said three more persons involved in the crime are at large. tnn
