“Poll predictions are doctored”

April 30, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:44 am IST - Tirunelveli:

Chief Minister and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam general secretary Jayalalithaa, who is contesting from R.K. Nagar constituency in Chennai, would taste the worst defeat in her political career this time, said Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam leader Vijayakant on Friday.

Addressing an election campaign meeting at Kadayanallur on Friday night, Mr. Vijayakant said that people of Tamil Nadu had been witnessing a harrowing maladministration led by Ms. Jayalalithaa for the past five years as corruption had become part of governance.

Hence the voters of R.K. Nagar would hand over the worst defeat to her in the May 16 election by backing Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi candidate and educationist V. Vasanthi Devi. He came down heavily on the poll predictions being made by a section of the media and termed them “fake and doctored”.

He said that the DMDK–People’s Welfare Front combine would organise a mega conference at Tiruchi on May 11 which would herald its resounding victory in the Assembly election.
