In what could arguably be the biggest-ever gathering, comprising members of the Konidela and Allu families, the newly-formed Konidela Production Company (KPC) on Friday announced the making of actor-turned-MP’s 150{+t}{+h}film.

Mr. Chiranjeevi’s son and actor Ram Charan, together with the megastar’s wife, Surekha, launched their in-house brand at a new production office. The banner’s Production No. 1, being helmed by director V.V. Vinayak, is a remake of the Tamil super hit of last year, ‘Kathi’ that had actor Vijay in the lead role.

Soon after the pooja, producer Allu Arvind set the ball rolling and writer Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao gave the clap for the ‘muhurat’.

The first shot was directed by K. Nagendra Babu. While a rocking Devisri Prasad has begun composing the music, Rathnavelu takes on the responsibility behind the camera as Director of Photography for the film that is slated for a 2017 Sankranthi release.

The extremely private launch event on Friday morning saw several prominent tinsel town personalities marking their attendance. The guests included directors Koratala Siva, producers Sharrath Marar, Gemini Kiran, D.V.V. Danayya, ‘Tirupati’ Prasad and young stars Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej and Allu Arjun, to name a few.
