New Delhi: A Russia-bound flier was arrested at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in New Delhi for allegedly carrying a dozen live bullet rounds in his baggage.

Officials said the incident occurred yesterday noon when a passenger, identified as A Singh, arrived at the international terminal to take a flight to Moscow.

CISF personnel deployed on security duty, they said, detected 12 live rounds of .22 calibre in his baggage when it was being scanned.

"On questioning, Singh could not produce valid documents and hence he was handed over to Delhi Police", they said adding they arrested him under Arms Act.
