Under-fire Aston Villa flop Charles N'Zogbia reckons the club's first team players should all donate two weeks' wages to club staff being axed.

Relegated crisis club Villa are cutting up to 500 jobs as they head down into the Championship.

French winger N'Zogbia has been slammed by fans for collecting £60,000-a-week while training with the kids ahead of becoming a Bosman.

But the star has responded to online criticism by offering to donate two weeks' salary to those staff leaving if his team-mates do the same.

Villa's relegation was confirmed earlier this month

N'Zogbia, writing on his @CharlesNzo Twitter account, reckons captain Micah Richards should organise dressing room donations.

N'Zogbia, who has played less than 90 minutes this season, Tweeted: "Of course I care, why would I be happy to see people losing their jobs. I have a heart like you, so what do you want me to do!"

He continued: "We should ask the Villa Captain to take 2 weeks wages for the 1st Team players salary and give all to the staff employees.

"I think it's a fair deal for the employees... I'm happy to do that if all players follow."
