IPL: Gujarat wins a thriller against Pune

Pune, Apr 29 (UNI) Chasing a mammoth total of 196, Gujarat Lions today handed another defeat to Rising Pune Supergiants by 3 wickets at their own backyard in the 25th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) here tonight.
Gujarat openers Brendon McCullum and Dwayne Smith provided an ideal start to their team and added 93 runs for the first wicket. However, an aggressive Brendon McCullum was dismissed in the ninth over by Rajat Bhatia on an individual score of 43 off just 22 balls.
The visitors received another blow soon as a well-settled Smith was sent back to pavillion by Thisara Perera in the 10th over with 115 runs on board. The carribean hit 63 off 37 deliveries which included 9 boundaries and a six.
