ORLANDO, Fla., April 29 (UPI) -- Wrestling star Eric Young shocked fans Thursday when he appeared during a taping of WWE NXT.

A former Total Nonstop Action Wrestling star, Young made a surprise entrance to confront newly crowned NXT Champion Samoa Joe, who also made his name in TNA, much to the crowd's delight.

"Breaking news: @TheEricYoung has arrived to @WWENXT," the company noted on Twitter sharing a video of Young entering NXT's arena at Full Sail University.

Young's debut will premiere on NXT Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on the WWE Network.

Young is the latest big-name professional wrestling star to sign to WWE recently following Japanese sensation Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, tag-team Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, Austin Aries and potentially Bobby Roode, who was spotted in the audience during NXT TakeOver Dallas on April 1.
