Police recovers kidnapped boy

Batala, Apr 29 (UNI) Batala police recovered a boy, who was kidnapped from Zirakpur in Mohali district on April 24.
Batala district police chief Diljinder Singh Dhillon disclosed that Kawaljit Singh alias Prince (20) resident of Lohgarh Park Zirakpur, was allegedly kidnapped by Satnam Singh alias Satta of Dale Chak village, Harcharan Singh alias Channat of Dogar village, Balraj Singh alias Boori of Basant Kot and Ajaib Singh Singh of Dale Chak village while tying his mother Jaswinder Kaur and his sister Harnmandip Kaur in their room on April 24. They also took away gold jewellery, laptop, mobile phone set and cash Rs 40,000 from them.
Dhillon said that the kidnappers have demanded Rs two lakh as ransom and his mother was asked to deposit the amount to Gurcharan Singh and Ajaib Singh at his native Dale Chak and when she deposited Rs two lakh to them on April 26. She was again asked to deposit Rs 2,50,000 and when she reached at Batala with the amount and contacted them they used to change the venue and time. But Jaswinder Kaur managed to lodged a complaint with the Batala police.
