From NPR Ombudsman to Tufts University Beacon

A lifetime of journalism experience is guiding the Edward R. Murrow Center for a Digital World.

Edward Schumacher-Matos has enjoyed a spectacular journalism career. Prior to serving as NPR ombudsman from 2011 to 2015, he oversaw New York Times bureaus in Buenos Aires and Madrid and was associate publisher of the Spanish and Portuguese editions of the Wall Street Journal Americas edition.

Schumacher-Matos is now applying that same kind of worldly view as director of the Edward R. Murrow Center for a Digital World at Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
