Finger print experts and dog squad inspected the spot. Police have started probe into the incident.
IMFL worth Rs 2.6 lakh stolen from Bevco outlets
Kozhikode: Two outlets of Kerala State Beverages Corporation were robbed by unidentified persons on Thursday night. Indian Made foreign liquor worth Rs 2.6 lakh was stolen from the shops.
Cases were reported in Nadakkavu and Chevayoor police station limits. According to officials with Nadakkavu police station, IMFL worth Rs 1.96 lakh was stolen from the Eranhipalam outlet of Bevco on Thursday night.
A total of 280 bottles of IMFL was stolen from the outlet, they said.
According to officials with Chevayoor police station, IMFL worth Rs. 65000 was stolen from the Karikkamkulam outlet of Bevco on Thursday night.
The incidents came to light when the employees of these outlets opened the outlets on Friday morning. The theft was carried out by breaking open the shutters of the shops.
Finger print experts and dog squad inspected the spot. Police have started probe into the incident.
The police will also probe the possibilities for the involvement the same gang behind the two incidents.
