In Season 7 Episode 21 of “The Good Wife,” Diane (Christine Baranski) is still continuing her plan to make an all-female firm. Although she thought that getting rid of Cary (Matt Czuchry) was the difficult part, she was surprised to realize that David Lee (Zach Grenier) did not make it too easy for her to proceed with her objectives.

In the next episode, titled “Verdict,” Diane wanted to keep on expanding the firm. Lucca (Cush Jumbo) agreed with her plans regarding the new firm, to be named Lockhart, Florrick& Associates. However, David will not be keen about the idea and it will actually be a problem for Diane since the former still has shares in the firm.

“As Peter’s trial begins, Alicia works desperately to keep her husband from returning to jail. Also, Diane and Lucca move aggressively to expand the law firm, but face serious opposition from David Lee,” stated the episode synopsis.

CarterMatt states that in the meantime, Peter Florrick (Chris Noth) trial started. Alicia (Julianna Margulies) was busy trying to find ways to keep him out of jail. Connor Fox (Matthew Morrison) appears to be closing in on the politician, despite some issues with the available evidence. Eli (Alan Cumming) may have some tricks up his sleeve. He was aware that Peter did something about the Locke case before.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the series finale will have two last episodes. Marguiles revealed that fans will either love or hate the remaining stories. She added that she had to read the plot several times just to absorb it. The actress said that the ending had to be complex to remain true.

Vine Report says showrunners Robert and Marlene King previously mentioned that the end may not appeal to everyone. Not all characters get to have a happy ending. Not a lot of details were revealed about the last two episodes of the series, so fans should just stay tuned and see what becomes of the Florricks’ marriage.

“The Good Wife” Season 7 Episode 21 will air on May 1, 2016 on CBS. More updates and details are expected soon.
