Carluccio's and The Diner set sail for Southampton's WestQuay
Carluccio's and the Diner are the latest additions to Southampton's WestQuay restaurant scene.
Carluccio's is set to open a new 372 sq m restaurant in WestQuay shopping centre, while the Diner will open its first location outside London in the £85m WestQuay Watermark leisure and retail development, which is set to open next year.
Carluccio's will be situated in a prime location on the lower shopping level of WestQuay, alongside M&S, John Lewis's espresso bar and other premium brands such as Karen Millen, Coast and Pandora. It will open this summer.
The Diner will occupy a 584 sq m unit located on the lower promenade of WestQuay Watermark, adjoining Waterstones.
Other brands set to open at WestQuay Watermark include Bill's, Jamie's Italian and Red Dog Saloon, as well as Hollywood Bowl, All Bar One and TGI Fridays, which signed up last month.
Sarah Fox, head of restaurants and leisure at Hammerson, the developer behind WestQuay shopping centre and WestQuay Watermark, said: "Both Carluccio's and the Diner are great additions to the line-up at both WestQuay and WestQuay Watermark and are also fantastic new dining options for Southampton.
"Already a retail and dining hub on the south coast, by continuing to attract new tenants to the city we demonstrate our ability to work with leading brands to deliver the very best customer experience possible."
Marc Francis-Baum, co-founder of the Diner, added: "The Diner has been a huge success in London and we now feel that it is time to venture outside the capital. Seeing Hammerson's vision for WestQuay Watermark, which will transform Southampton's dining offer, and having visited the site, this scheme is the perfect first destination to make our debut outside London."
