The UP BJP president Keshav Prasad Maurya accused the UP government of obstructing the smooth implementation of central schemes meant for farmers in the state.
VARANASI: The UP BJP president Keshav Prasad Maurya accused the UP government of obstructing the smooth implementation of central schemes meant for farmers in the state.
“The UP government is anti-farmers, it is causing delay in implementation of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna in the state,” he alleged and said that the UP government has not selected the insurance company for the implementation of this scheme as yet.
Several other states have finalized the insurance companies to run the scheme for the benefit of farmers. The purchase centres were not functioning properly, he said adding that the state government failed in providing irrigation facility and power to the farmers.
Maurya was here on Friday to see the preparations of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visits to Varanasi and Ballia on May 1. Talking to reporters, he said that the central government has allocated a fund of Rs. 1000 crore for the construction of ring road in Varanasi, but the state government is not utilizing the fund properly.
Cornering the state government on issue of law and order, he alleged that not only people but the policemen are also not safe in the state. About 1100 police personnel were attacked in the regime of SP government, he said adding that a sense og insecurity is prevailing among the people.
Maurya claimed that the state will witness the repetition of the result of 2014 parliamentary election in the forthcoming assembly elections in 2017. The BJP will win over 265 seats to form its government in UP, he said. Accusing the BSP and SP governments of encouraging corruption, he said and added that the BJP if come to power will make state corruption free, and law will take its course against corrupt people.
