Investment manager to merge East Anglia teams

National investment management firm JM Finn & Co is set to consolidate its two offices in East Anglia.

Staff based at the Ipswich office will relocate to the Bury St Edmunds office on Abbeygate Street, which has been expanded to incorporate ground floor space in the building.

The new office will provide staff with "a much improved working environment and a first class facility in which to meet clients".

The combined branch will see 11 investment managers oversee more than £1bn of assets on behalf of almost 2,500 clients.

"Bringing together the two teams will provide additional benefits on all levels," said Brett Bayliss (pictured), head of the East Anglian branch. "Our existing clients will have a hugely improved site in which to meet with us in Bury, and for those clients located in Ipswich, we will retain an office with meeting space.

"Our investment managers will benefit from sharing administrative resources and a wider breadth of intellectual capital to bounce investment ideas off, and in addition, we will be able to provide a more coordinated approach to servicing the flourishing intermediary community across the region."

Chief executive Steven Sussman added: "Having two branches in East Anglia gave us a great presence in the region, but to be able to capitalise on the opportunity to increase the Bury office makes sense for the business, our clients and our 20 local staff."
