A delegation from Czech Republic called on Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Mr Kavinder Gupta. The delegation was headed by Chairman, of Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr. Karel Schwarzenberg.The delegation discussed various issues related to mutual cooperation and coordination between both the countries especially of J&K State for setting up strong relations with both the nations.The delegation invited the Speaker that a delegation should visit the Czech for understanding the issues with each other.The Speaker informed the delegation about the cultural, social, political, economic and other activities of the state and said that the state has huge potential in different trades like world famous pashmina, saffron, dry fruits, sport goods etc. Hr also informed them about the tourism destinations in the state.Earlier, the Speaker gave warm welcome to the delegation.
The delegation comprised Mr. Havel Holik, Vice-Chairman of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr. Leo Luzar, Chairman of the Parliamentary Subcommittee for External Economic Relations, Mr. Karel Rais, Chairman of the Parliamentary Subcommittee for Development Cooperation, Mr. Rom Kostrica, Member of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr. Milan Hovorka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Pleniopotentiary of the Czech Republic of India, Mr. Roman Masarik, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Czech Repulic in New Delhi, Mrs Zuzana Putnarova, Secretary of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee and Mrs Silvie Ginterova, interpreters.Secretary, Legislative Assembly, Mr. Mohammad Ramzan was also present on the occasion.
