Kamrup(M) DC issues parking ban

Guwahati: The Kamrup (Metro) district administration has banned parking on the stretch from Khanapara flyover to Ganesh Mandir, 9th Mile, on National Highway 37.
The order was issued on Thursday by deputy commissioner M Angamuthu who is also the chairman of the Regional Transport Office.
"Unsystematic parking of different commercial vehicles like tourist buses, trekkers, wingers and private vehicles in the Khanapara overbridge point, which continues till Ganesh Mandir, is causing severe congestion.So, I have asked that the parking of any type of vehicle, vending and picking up of passengers in that area be prohibited," he said. tnn
