Coimbatore: While BJP leader Pon Radhakrishnan was slamming the Dravidian parties in the city, the saffron party's erstwhile ally, DMDK's leader Premalatha, launched a scathing attack on DMK and AIADMK in rural Coimbatore.
Campaigning for DMDK candidate Thinakaran at Sulur on Thursday night, Premalatha sought to play the corruption plank, claiming that DMDK leader Vijayakanth did not have any blots in his record.
"Can you say the leaders of DMK or AIADMK are not corrupt? Do we have any corruption or criminal cases?'' she asked standing atop the campaign vehicle at Sulur. She said that her alliance partners, including MDMK, VCK, TMC and the two left parties were also clean.
"Initially, everybody said that the DMDK - PWF combine was the third front. But we are emerging as the front runners in the election,'' she said.
Heaping praises on the party candidate Thinakaran she said that once DMDK wins, he would solve the powerloom crisis and water problem in the constituency.
