Dance: Sindhu Mahotsav

The fifth edition of Sindhu Mahotsav is a three-day dance festival that commences today — International Dance Day. The event is an initiative of the directors of Sankhya Dance Company: Vaibhav Arekar and Sushant Jadhav.

The fest will feature dance exponents from across the country at venues all over the city. Tonight, the city will witness Kathak exponent Aditi Mangaldas present her solo piece titled ‘Seeking the Beloved’, followed by dance company Sankhya’s premier of ‘Naamamhane… an awakening’. The latter is an exploration of saint poet Namdev’s spiritual beliefs. Tickets are priced at Rs 360, Rs 460 and Rs 600.
