Talking to The Indian Express Thursday, Pargat Singh said he wanted to ensure that the solid waste management plant does not come up at the proposed location because of the health hazard it will pose to the people residing nearby. When asked that now the CM has also publicly announced that this project is being dropped, he said it is good for his constituency, but reiterated that he will still not accept the post of CPS since the elections are a few months away, and he will not want to burden state exchequer.
