PULWAMA, Apr 28: Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Mir (Muran) was re-eleced as district president, Pulwama, by party delegates from the district, which met here today under the chairmanship of senior National Conference (NC) leader and MLA Sonawari, Mohd Akbar Lone, who is also North Zone president.
On the occasion, all respective Block presidents for the district Pulwama were also elected. NC leader, Former MP and North Zone vice president, Ghulam Nabi Ratanpuri, North Zone secretary Ghulam Rasool Naz, Provincial joint secretary, Ghulam Nabi Bhat, District secretaries, Abdul Aziz and Abdul Rashid Nengroo, and Constituency In-charge, Tral, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat were also present.
While speaking on the occasion, Lone lashed out at PDP for tactically dividing secular votes in the State during Parliam-entary elections in the Jammu region under a well thought-out plan to help BJP candidates and said PDP’s role in fragmenting the people of the State to benefit BJP was unpardonable.
“The same Mehbooba Mufti who takes daily directions from New Delhi to run the State was posturing as a rebel against New Delhi till last year. She would come out on the roads to agitate against New Delhi on an almost daily basis and today she has been silenced into obedience in exchange for the Chief Minister’s chair. PDP has sold all its slogans and promises to BJP first to make late Mufti Sahab and then Mehbooba Mufti, the Chief Minister of the State. That’s the only guiding goal of this unholy, opportunistic alliance”, the NC leader said.
