On May 7, Frank Sinatra aficionado Brandon Tomasello will join new collaborators, the Mike Nigro 10 piece band, for their debut performance, which will help benefit the Linda Creed Breast Cancer Foundation. The band was booked for the night by Linda Caneratta, who keeps Tomasello working regularly.
“This was all Linda Caneratta’s idea. I’ve known Linda since I started singing in 2011, and she said ‘This will be the best place for your first performance!” the 11th-and-Porter-streets resident said about the charity.
The night will also be dedicated to Theresa Wigand, an old friend and supporter of Tomasello’s who passed away in March.
“We’re performing Sinatra’s ‘Star’ in her honor; it was her favorite song,” Tomasello said.
The charity dinner will take place at Galdo’s Caterers, 1933 W. Moyamensing Ave., and will start at 6:30. Tickets are $65, with a limited number available at the door.
