ITBP jawans felicitated

MUSSOORIE: Twenty one jawans and officials of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) were felicitated during a function organised under the aegis of the Rotary Club of Mussoorie at a restaurant here today.

Twenty one jawans and officials of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) were felicitated during a function organised under the aegis of the Rotary Club of Mussoorie at a restaurant here today.

They were presented citations and mementos for their contribution towards society. Assistant Commandent GD Balwinder Singh, Anand Kumar, Rajendar Adhikari, Inspector GD Swaroop Singh, Rajesh Yadav, Sub-Inspector GD Nand Lal, Roshan Lal, Chandramohan, Gambhir Singh, Aan Singh Bhandari, Inspector GD Vinod Kumar, Sub-Inspector GD Charanjit Singh, hawaldar GD Jagdish Prasad, Kushal Pal, Ranvir Singh, constable GD Om Prakash, Shashi Kapoor, Kahdak Singh, Gokarn Owaar, Manoj Singh, W.Bagsu.

Assistant commandant Tej Bhan Singh was the chief guest on the occasion. Rotary Club president Sanjay Agarwal commended the efforts of the ITBP jawans in helping the disaster victims around the region.

Programme coordinator Shailendar Karnwal said ITBP jawans were ready whenever they were required for search and rescue operations in case of accidents around the town. Past chairpersons Dr GK Thakral, Manohan Karanwal, Prakash Melhotra, DP Singh, Pramod Sahni, Alok Melhotra, Sharad Gupta, Nitish Mohan Agarwal, and other Rotarians were present on the occasion.
