Six killed in separate incidents in Bhojpur dist
Ara: At least six persons, including three women, were killed in separate incidents in Bhojpur district in last 24 hours.
Armed miscreants intruded into a house and shot a youth at Bibiganj village under the Udwantnagar police station area on Wednesday and escaped. An FIR has been lodged against six people, including Bharat Mahato and Kuer Mahato, in this conenction.
No arrest has been made so far.
In pritest against the killing, villagers blocked the Ara-Buxar main road for two hours, demanding arrest of the miscreants. The blockade was lifted after police assured the agitators of action.
Ara SDPO Sanjay Kumar said Godhan Mahato and Bharat had a land dispute and the matter was sub-judice. On Wednesday, when the marriage of Godhan’s son Munna was to solemnized, Bharat along with goons entered his house and shot Ratan Mahato.Meanwhile, the Bhojpur police recovered bodies of two unidentified women floating on the Ganga on Wednesday.
In another incident, one Banwari Sao was killed while four others were injured, two of them seriously, when the ceiling of his house fell at Simaria village under the Ara Muffassil police station area.An unidentified youth committed suicide by throwing himself before a running train in the wee hours of Thursday near Bihia under the Danapur rail division area.
One Neeru Devi, wife of Shiv Bachan Singh, fell from motorcycle and was injured when she was returning home after attending a marriage ceremony at Bakhorapur Kali Temple on Wednesday night.
She was admitted to the Ara sadar hospital and later referred to the PMCH where she succumbed to her injuries on Thursday. She was contesting election for the post of mukhia from Semaria Padariya panchayat.
