A BBC Radio Scotland Scottish election 2016 debate was held in Inverness on Wednesday evening.

The event in Eden Court involved candidates for the Inverness and Nairn constituency.

Recorded in front of a mixed audience from across the political spectrum, the debate was chaired by BBC Scotland's Craig Anderson.

The debate can be heard on FM on BBC Radio Scotland after Thursday's 17:00 news bulletin until 18:00.

It will also be available online.

On the panel were Carolyn Caddick of the Scottish Liberal Democrats, the SNP's Fergus Ewing, Edward Mountain of the Scottish Conservatives, Scottish Labour's David Stewart, UKIP's David Coburn and John Finnie from the Scottish Greens.

Tourism, jobs, local services and how the parties would use Holyrood's new tax raising powers were among the main topics discussed.

The election will be held on the 5 May when voters will decide who they want to represent them at the Scottish Parliament in their constituency and region.
