Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Apr 28 2016 2:55PM Rophul decides not to contest Tura Lok Sabha by-pollShillong, Apr 28 (UNI) Sitting Meghalaya Independent legislator, Rophul S Marak, who quit the post of parliamentary secretary to contest the by-election to Tura Lok Sabha constituency, today decided not to contest the election. Mr Marak took the decision after holding a meeting with members of the High Power Committee and Advisory board and his family members who suggested him to withdraw from the race as he needs to fulfill the promises of his Siju-Rongara assembly constituency. “He is moulded and designed as people of the area (Siju-Rongara assembly constituency) desired its mandate of the people and he is obliged and bound to respect people's decision,” Mr George S Marak, Chairman of Advisory Board and Committee stated in a statement.Please log in to get detailed story.Tags: #Rophul decides not to contest Tura Lok Sabha by-poll
