Mysuru: After West Indies cricketer Dwayne Bravo and Bollywood singer Benny Dayal's electrifying performances, vocalist Raghu Dixit is all set to rock Mysuru, his hometown.
The singer will perform at the Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering and Technology (VVIET) festival, which begins on Thursday. Vistara, the student's council, is hosting the two-day cultural fest graVVIETy.
Day 2 of the event will witness a perfomance by Raghu Dixit, an alumnus of Yuvaraja's College. The concert will begin at 6pm on Friday, according to college principal M Ravishankar.
The Raghu Dixit Project, a six-member contemporary multilingual Indian folk music band, has performed in the US and the UK. The concert will see Dixit crooning Indian ethnic numbers.
The fest will include various competitions in categories like dancing, singing, gaming and fashion show, said the organizers. As a precursor to the fest, the college hosted a step-climbing competition at Chamundi Hills to promote peace and harmony on Sunday. Last week, Bravo and Dayal had set the stage on fire at Jayciana, a fest hosted by Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering.
