Mirror (April 7) had earlier reported that Amitabh Bachchan will play a lawyer in Shoojit Sircar's next production, the socio-thriller Pink, which marks the Bollywood debut of National Award winning Bengali director, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury. In the film, Taapsee Pannu falls in love with Rajveer, played by Angad Bedi. One night, he and his friends get drunk and try to molest her two roommates (Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang) and her, and this leads to an accident.
Following this, Bachchan's Deepak takes it upon himself to fight the girls' case against these manipulative, influential boys.

Now, Mirror has learnt that the lawyer suffers from a bipolar disorder. 'Rajveer has been educated abroad but his mind set is feudal thanks to his upbringing. Deepak attempts to prove him guilty despite the challenges of his illness, which is characterized by extreme mood swings. The director is being careful to present the illness in the right light without hurting sentiments," informs a source close to the development.

A major portion of the film was shot in Delhi recently and the final schedule is currently on in Mumbai.We contacted filmmakers Ronnie Lahiri and Shoojit Sircar but they chose not to comment.
