Power cuts to continue due to maintenance drive

Indore: Under its maintenance drive, Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company Limited (MPPKVVL) will close down its units in a phased manner affecting power supply for sereval areas on Thursday and Friday.
MPPKVVL has been carrying out pre-mosoon maintenance work from last few days. Areas that would be affected on Thursday are Shalimar Township, Gulab Bagh, Jumbo Quarter, Loha Mandi, , Raj Kamal Tower, Azad Nagar, and Madina Nagar.
Areas like Race Course Road, Malwa Mill, Janta Colony Saket Nagar, Loha Mandi and Vidya Nagar faced power cuts of one to four hours on Wednesday. "I woke up early morning to find that there was no power. I was late to office as I had to wait for two hours to fill the water tank. They should have made announcements in the area. ," said Nisha Anand, a resident of Saket Nagar.
