Thiruvananthapuram: The extra care put in by the general education department for the evaluation and tabulation of the SSLC answer papers seems to have paid off this time. Unlike last year, there were no major complaints regarding the SSLC results that were announced on Wednesday.
"All those who were part of the evaluation and tabulation works were given enough time.
The scores of each student were checked and counter checked to ensure that the results were flawless. I thank all those who put in their best efforts in this regard," said director of public instructions (DPI) M S Jaya. Due to the extra diligence, no result was withheld this year.
Education minister P K Abdu Rabb also expressed satisfaction over the smooth announcement of the results.
The evaluation of answer papers that started in 54 centralized camps on April 1, was completed in 13 days. The services of as many as 1,290 additional chief examiners and 13,634 assistant examiners were used for the evaluation.
The marks were uploaded to 1-Exams software on a daily basis. Apart from school teachers, the service of two IT experts each were used for the uploading of marks from each valuation camp.
The Pareekha Bhavan employees also cross checked the marks and rectified all the anomalies.
