KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that his government believes in co-existence and have never unleashed a policy of victimisation. This he said while talking to a delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) led by Syed Sardar Ahmed and Opposition Leader in Sndh Assembly Khwaja Izhar. The members of the delegation include Mohammad Hussain, Ameenul Haq, Waseem Qureshi, Jamal Ahmed and Ali Raza Abdi. Those who assisted the chief minister were Senior Minister for Education Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Special Assistants to Chief Minister Rashid Rabbani and Waqar Mehdi. The MQM delegation said that their workers were being arrested and most of them are missing. “A policy of harassment has also been unleashed against our leaders and workers,” they said, adding that their workers in jail are being harassed. The chief minister assured the delegation that their grievances would be redressed as per law. “We are political workers and respect the workers of other political parties,” he said and added that he would never allow anybody to harass inmates. The chief minister said that the law enforcement agencies have restored peace in the city for which they have given lot of sacrifices. The MQM delegation also lauded the efforts of law enforcement.
