sherry_zardariISLAMABAD: Pakistan's Ambassador-designate to US, Ms. Sherry Rehman Friday called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr and discussed matters pertaining to her diplomatic assignment in US.

The President reposed full confidence in her and expressed the hope that she would prove herself worthy of the challenging assignment.

Sherry Rehman thanked the President for the trust and confidence reposed in her. She assured to accomplish her responsibilities with full devotion, and focus on augmenting Pakistan's bilateral relations with the US, while defending interests of Pakistan at all international forums.

The President also hosted lunch for the ambassador-designate.
