Kautilya Pandit, an eight-year old boy more popularly known as the "Google Boy", put his vast knowledge of topics ranging from geography to current affairs and astronomy on display during a visit to the GEMS Modern Academy.
The self-taught prodigy - who hails from Haryana, India - is known for his insatiable curiosity and dedication, which are boosted by a seemingly photographic memory that allows him to answer questions on a wide-range of topics quickly and accurately - like Google.
Kautilya has been invited to a number of institutions, as well as the noted Indian television show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati', where he wowed the show's host, Bollywood star Amitabh Bachan, and the audience.
Speaking to students, Kautilya said that if one has an interest, anything can be learned, and advised young people to be confident and positive. Kautilya hopes to explore outer space and beyond one day. Additionally, he has a flair for poetry, and has penned a few poems which he is able to recite with the same accuracy as he does facts.
Kautilya feels that it is important to imbibe good morals, generosity and right thinking to be a better person. At an age where his peers are pre-occupied with Xbox and gaming, he displays maturity and poise.
Despite his celebrity status and maturity, audience at GEMS academy also got a glimpse of the child in Kautilya, who began climbing over the VIP sofa in the school's auditorium, and who squabbles occasionally with his two older siblings.
