'The Office' stars John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer reunite

NEW YORK, April 27 (UPI) -- The Office stars John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer reunited Tuesday in New York.

The 36-year-old actor delighted fans by sharing a photo of his mini-reunion with the 42-year-old actress on social media. Fischer went to see Krasinski in the off-Broadway play Dry Powder.

"Soooo...this rabid theater fan came to #DryPowder last night! @jennafischer," Krasinski captioned the photo with his smiling former co-star.

Krasinski and Fischer played Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly on The Office, which had a nine-season run on NBC from 2005 to 2013. The characters were longtime love interests who eventually married and had children.

The reunion follows Krasinski and Fischer's remarks about the nature of their offscreen relationship. The actress claimed they had real feelings during the show on Watch What Happens Live in January, which Krasinski later denied.

"There's a real part of me that is Pam and a real part of him that's Jim, and those parts of us were genuinely in love with one another," she said. "But in real life, we aren't totally Pam and totally Jim, so in real life, we're not the perfect match."

"So it's a really complicated thing, but I mean, he was like a type of spouse that I had for a long time," she added. "He was my partner. We will always be close because of it."

Krasinski subsequently told The Daily Beast he thought Fischer's comments were misinterpreted. He acknowledged their acting relationship was "genuine," but said he thought Fischer's "in love" remark was taken "wildly out of context."

Krasinski and wife Emily Blunt are expecting their second child, while Fischer and husband Lee Kirk share two children. Krasinski and Blunt will voice characters in the forthcoming animated movie Animal Crackers.
