Yuichi Ito upsets third seed Prashanth

Chandigarh, Apr 27 (UNI) Firing seven aces second seeded Vishnu Vardhan seed scripted a comfortable win over qualifier Shintaro Imai from Japan 6-2, 6-2 in 71 minutes in the singles second round match of 10,000 dollar ITF Men’s Futures Tennis Tournament held here today.
A break by Vishnu in the sixth game of the first set placed him in comfortable position with a 4-2 lead and went on to win the set without any problem.
In the second set, Vishnu broke the Japanese player in the sixth and eighth games for a 6-2 triumph. Shintaro committed four double faults and had one ace to his credit. Vishnu who won four break points out of seven, committed two double faults.
