Ralph Lauren unveils U.S. uniforms for closing ceremony

USA TODAY Sports

Ralph Lauren unveiled the closing ceremony uniforms Wednesday for the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic teams on NBC's Today.

Ralph Lauren uniforms for the closing ceremony were worn by Ryan Lochte, Haley Anderson and Jordan Burroughs.

Olympians Haley Anderson, Jordan Burroughs and Ryan Lochte modeled the uniforms, which featured a Pony-emblazoned button-down shirt, worn over a striped T-shirt with chino shorts. The uniform also included boat shoes, cotton bracelets and repp-stripe belts.

All three athletes are sponsored by the company.

The uniform will be available for purchase starting Wednesday on RalphLauren.com. Items were priced from $49.50 to $350 for the boat shoes, handcrafted in the USA. All clothing items featured were made in America, according to the company's web site.

In 2012, the brand came under criticism for outfitting the U.S. team in apparel made in China. The company made the 2014 Winter Olympic ceremony uniforms, featuring bold, chunky cardigan sweaters, in the USA.
