Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Apr 27 2016 8:36PM Polavaram to convert upland areas in to delta by 2018: FMKakinada Apr 27 (UNI): Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said that all the upland areas starting from Rajanagaram to Tuni covering Jaggampet and Prathipadu constituencies would get face lift by 2018 as another delta area with the providing of vast irrigation potential by completion of Polavaram canals. Addressing a function after inaugurating the primary health center at Lingamparty village in Yelesweram mandal today, the minister said, all the upland mandals in the district were not having proper irrigation sources and once the Polavaram canals and other ongoing irrigation projects are completed entire area transforms into second delta in the district. Stressing the need for strengthening the rural medical services, he said, the state government had earmarked Rs.6,000 crores in the budget for health services .`Priority would be accorded to rural health services as majority of the people are living in villages and require proper medical care.
