Twin B and Yasmin Evans are to leave Radio 1Xtra Breakfast.

They're going their separate ways with Yasmin presenting the weekday 1-4pm show on the station and Twin doing the 4-7pm slot on Saturday afternoons.

A.Dot will take the helm of the breakfast show on 4 July and is the first solo female to do so.

"This is unbelievable. I can't believe actual people are going to be waking up to my voice everyday!" she said in a statement.

"I can't wait to kick start your mornings with enough music and mayhem to get you through the day. Breakfast will never be the same again!

"Just 18 months ago 1Xtra gave a radio rookie a Saturday afternoon show and now here I am taking the wheel on the breakfast show.

"I'm so, so grateful for this huge opportunity. I've never set a 5am alarm before, let's hope I don't sleep through it!"

Twin explained it's been difficult juggling the show with his other commitments outside of 1Xtra.

He said: "Waking up with the 1Xtra audience has been amazing and leaving the show with more peeps listening to it than ever is brill!

"Juggling the show alongside my other commitments has been challenging so, 5am alarm off, let's have vibes and good music on a Saturday afternoon."

The changes essentially mean A.Dot and Yasmin switch places.

Yasmin explained: "I'm delighted to be taking on the afternoon slot solo and excited for the 1Xtra audience to get to know me a little better.

"As ever being able to express my love and passion for music is key. Setting my alarm a little later will also be a bonus!"
