Sadbhav Infrastructure Project has been declared L1 or the lowest bidder for the two projects by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), developer said in a stock exchange filing. The first project for which the company was declared a lowest bidder is a four laning project of Rampur-Kathgodam section of NH-87 in Uttar Pradesh under NHDP-III on hybrid annuity mode having construction period of 730 days and operation period of 15 years from the commercial operation date. The second project is four laning of Rampur-Kathgodam section of NH-87 in Uttarakhand under NHDP-III on hybrid annuity mode having construction period of 730 days and operation period of 15 years from the commercial operation date. The letter of award shall be provided by NHAI within 60 days from bid due date of March 15, 2016.
L&T Construction, part of Larsen & Toubro Ltd, has forayed in Thailand with its first order in that country. The engineering firm will be building a 500kV transmission line on EPC basis for the Thai-Laos border crossing. On the domestic front, the company has also won an EPC order relating to the 765kV double-circuit Bhuj Banaskanta transmission line (Part-1) from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, which is associated with Green Energy Corridor. The two orders have an aggregate value of Rs.321 crore.
PNC Infratech has bagged a Rs.205.69-crore contract for construction of three-lane road on both sides of Sharda Sahayak Feeder Canal in Uttar Pradesh. During the current quarter, PNC has received letters of award for a total contract value of over Rs.1,000 crore, it said in a stock exchange filing. The company’s order book, in terms of contracts pending execution, now stands at over Rs.4,300 crore. This includes the project of four-laning of Varanasi-Gorakhpur section of NH-29 where it was declared L1 bidder price of Rs 868.50 crore on March 9, but is yet to receive the award letter.
Suzlon Group has landed an order for development of 197.40 mw wind power project from a leading private sector power utility, the company said in a release. Suzlon will install its S97 suite of wind turbine generators with 120m and 90m hub height and rated capacity of 2.1-mw each. The projects will be located across three sites in the Kutch and Bhavnagar districts of Gujarat. The project will be commissioned in phases with complete execution scheduled by March 2017. Suzlon will execute the entire project on a turnkey basis and will also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the complete project lifecycle, the release added.
KEC International has won an order worth Rs.608 crore from Powergrid Southern Interconnector Transmission System Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of PGCIL) for construction of Transmission Line associated with “Beyond Vemagiri” Transmission System Project. It also won orders worth Rs.129 crore from Power Grid Jabalpur Transmission Ltd (a wholly-owned subsidiary of PGCIL) for construction of transmission lines associated with Vindhyachal-V project. In the cables business, the company has also secured orders worth Rs.43 crore for power cables, including EHV cables.
ARSS Infrastructure Projects has bagged Rs.142.79-crore worth work orders from Rail Vikas Nigam, a government of India enterprise. The order is for construction of road bed, station buildings, passenger amenities, minor bridges, and general electrical works in connection with the new BG Rail line from Nuagaon to Paradeep on the Khurda Road Division of East Coast Railway in Odisha.
The construction arm of Larsen & Toubro Ltd has landed an EPC contract worth Rs.821 crore from National Highways Authority of India for four-laning of the Addahole (Gundya) to Bantwal cross of NH-75 (Old NH-48) in Karnataka. The project is to be completed in 30 months and involves cumulative construction of 63 km of four-lane dual carriage way with concrete pavement in addition to the construction of 14.5 km of service roads, two flyovers, two major bridges, 14 minor bridges, nine underpasses and one toll plaza.
Suzlon Group has announced that it has won its maiden order from Greenko Group, a significant independent power producer with a portfolio of 1 GW of operational assets. The order involves supply of 105 mw of wind turbines comprising 50 units of S97 120m 2100kW WTG with hybrid tower. Located in Andhra Pradesh, the project will be progressively commissioned by January 2017, a release from Suzlon said.
Toshiba Johnson Elevators (India) Pvt Ltd has received an order to supply 40 units of elevators including eight units of 3m/s speed from DLF for its luxury condominium project – The Camellias. The project is schedule to commission by 2017. TJEI will install its flagship product ‘ELCOSMO-III’ series with top class energy saving, environmentally conscious design and reliable safety features. Toshiba entered Indian market in 2011 and since then, TJEI have successfully secured orders for over 1000 units of elevators and escalators.
