Closure of Rambagh-Jehangir Chowk road led confusion in Srinagar

Srinagar, Apr 27 (UNI) Closure of about three-km-long Rambagh-Jehangir chowk busiest road has resulted in confusion. chaos and frequent traffic jams in the uptown, badly affecting commuters, particularly students.
The authorities had announced to close the road following the collapse of fly-over after Kolkata tragedy, where about two dozen people were killed and scores injured after a portion of under construction fly over collapsed.
Surprisingly work on the Rambagh-Jehangir chowk fly over is going on for the past several years and road was never closed even when vehicles had to pass during working hours. Fortunately there has been no accident so far during the construction.
