Elaborate security in Ballia during PM's visit on Sunday

Lucknow, Apr 27 (UNI) Security has been strengthened in Ballia and the adjoining areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh while sleuths of the Intelligence Agencies are put on high alert in wake of the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May one to launch the “Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna" to distribute free LPG gas connections to the BPL households . District authorities have been directed to take necessary measures to ensure peaceful function of the PM. ``We have alerted the local administration and gave them direction to take all necessary steps to ensure smooth visit of the PM who would land in Ballia along with other Union Ministers next Sunday”, said Inspector General of Police (Public Grievance) Ashok Mutha Jain today. Disclosing that a heavy police force along with jawans of the Central Para-Military Force and Provincial Armed Constabulary have already been provided to Ballia, Mr Jain claimed that four officers of Superintendent rank would be pressed in service to assist the local police in monitoring the law and order situation. Besides, the above, 18 Deputy SP rank officers which including two female Dy SPs, 143 sub-inspectors, 14 traffic inspectors, 3 traffic sub-inspectors, one commando company of Anti-Terrorists Squad (ATS), 5 companies of PAC along with central forced will be deployed during Modi’s visit to Ballia on Sunday. Mr Jain further said that four companies of National Security Guard (NSG) will be also made available to local Ballia Administration to facilitate full proof security to Modi and other VVIPs visiting the district. It may be mentioned that state Home Department had also sent a request to Centre demanding at least 15 more companies of Central Para Military Force for the security of the Prime Minister.
