Bhatkal: Shafi Armar, the alleged headhunter of IS, is believed to have been killed in a US drone attack in Syria recently , but the local police have no information about it. “We have heard about it only through the media,” Additional Superintendent of Police of Uttar Kannada told the Deccan Chronicle.
Shafi’s mother does not have any information about her sons as they were not in contact with her. She prefers not to speak to anybody and changes her house frequently. Her two sons, Sulthan (who is said to have joined the terror outfit and died in Afghanistan) and Shafi left home about six years ago. She has no confirmation about their deaths,” he said.
Shafi’s mother, Hajira (60) now reportedly lives with her younger son, Safwan in a rented house. As they move frequently to avoid the media and the law men no one knows their exact whereabouts. The last time they were spotted was in Madina Colony , but are reportedly no longer living there. Some believe Hajra has gone to Dubai.
