Since its launch in 2013, Pan Bahar Crystal has been gaining traction in the world market and winning global accolades. Following its launch, the brand marked its presence in the 2013 Asia CanTech Awards held in Indonesia where it won two awards - Supreme Award and the Most Stylish Can Award. Then in 2014 came the Technical Achievement Award at IMDA in USA.
The latest acknowledgement of the brand's growing repute has come from Ernst & Young, who advised WCRC to crown Pan Bahar Crystal as India's Most Promising Brand (F&B) 2014 in London recently.

Pan Bahar was also associated with the recently-concluded TOIFA Awards in Dubai, the glitzy awards gala, as a Presenting Sponsor.

-The origin story: The credit for the success: The team at Pan Bahar, especially Dinesh Jain, the man who has carved out a niche for the parent company - DJ Group.

As a leader, he has led from the front and believes in the philosophy: "If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, only then you are a leader." To that end, he decided to take up the mantle where his father left it - by re-launching their family brand Pan Bahar in 2005. Within five years, he turned the market tide and catapulted the brand as one of the top three brands of traditional mouth fresheners in India.

However, Jain has not rested on his laurels. He wanted to challenge the status quo in the market and did just that with the launch of Pan Bahar Crystal - a unique offering of real silver and gold as ingredients and award-winning packaging. As the brand has found patrons among connoisseurs, little wonder then that it has become the most expensive pan masala in the world.

-The move to hospitality: Still not content, Jain expanded his portfolio and entered the hospitality sector. Building from bottom up, he started with the development of hotel Fortune Park DJ Avenue in Delhi, which soon became a destination of choice.

In his quest to bring some of the finer lifestyle concepts to life, Jain then launched Country Inn in New Delhi. Today, it is a Gold Circle property with a certificate of excellence from TripAdvisor.

The next destination was the Park, Goa, which has been ranked amongst the top 60 hotels and named the 'Best Boutique Beach Resort' in Goa by a leading magazine.

-Shifting goalposts: The group, under Jain's stewardship, has forayed into healthcare, packaging and entertainment sector and is eyeing other sectors too.

While his team and family feel he has built an excellent profile on his own, he believes that he is standing tall because of them and the DJ Group team. To his friends, he is a philosopher, to his family he is a motivator and to his team, he remains their friend, guide and an inspiring leader who leads them from the front with clear vision and humility.
