Elvis Presley’s Irish roots

Sir, – So Elvis Presley has a Wicklow ancestor (Michael Parsons, "Presley's Irish roots proven by legal document", April 22nd). The name Elvis also has Irish roots. St Ailbhe of Emly, the sixth-century Irish missionary, is honoured in Wales as St Elvis, where he is reputed to have baptised St David. Time to claim Elvis as one of our own? – Yours, etc,
