Hit by bike, Warje morning walker dies

Pune: A 59-year-old morning walker died on Tuesday after a speeding motorcycle knocked him down at Warje on Katraj-Dehu Road bypass.
The motorcycle rider suffered injuries in the accident.
The Warje Malwadi police identified the deceased as Pradeep Ramchandra Paralikar of Warje. The injured motorcyclist, Sameer Yebalekar (36) of Ramnagar Colony in Bavdhan, is under treatment in a nearby hospital.
Sub-inspector S V Solanke said the accident occurred around 7am, when Paralikar was taking a morning walk.Motorcyclist Yebalekar lost control over his speeding bike and knocked down Paralikar. Solanke said Paralikar died on the spot. Police have booked Yebalekar for negligent driving. tnn
