Patna: Bihar health minister Tej Pratap Yadav is all set to become the chief minister -- in reel life.
The elder son of former CMs Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi has been signed to play the Bihar CM in 'Apaharan Udyog'. Some of the scenes of the movie, being directed by one Ajay Singh, were shot at Rajgir on Sunday.
In one of the shots, Tej Pratap was seen pacifying a crowd that was protesting the kidnapping of a boy.
"It's a small but important role... Tej Pratap will be seen in the Hindi movie for a few minutes," a member of the crew said.
"Aisi apradhik ghatnao ko anjaam dene wale nahi chahte ki meri sarkar chale aur rajya ka vikas ho... aur aaj apke samne main ailan karta hoon... unki har saazish ka muhtod jawab dene ka kaam karunga...," thunders the onscreen CM. Wearing a white 'kurta-pyjama' and dark grey half-sleeved jacket, he also tells the protesters, "Apke vishwas ko meri sarkar tootne nahi degi." Some other scenes of the movie are slated to be shot in Patna on Sunday.

Tej, who also holds the portfolio of environment and forests in the Nitish Kumar-led Grand Alliance government of Bihar, is quite excited about his silver-screen avatar. "So many movies have portrayed Bihar in a negative light... but this movie will depict Bihar's development in the last few years," he told mediapersons.
The first-time MLA from Mahua has shared some of the stills as well as his experience at the shoot on his Facebook account. "This is a different side of my personality... acting is in my genes," he writes on the social-networking site and recalls he acted in a play in his school days.
Lalu also featured in a Bollywood movie, Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav, in 2005. While the father-son duo became 'abhineta' after becoming 'neta', another Bihar politician Chirag Paswan joined politics after trying his luck in the tinsel town. Son of Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan, Chirag successfully contested the parliamentary election from Jamui after his movie , Miley Naa Miley Hum, with Kangana Ranaut bombed at the box office in 2011.
