Andhra Pradesh: CM Chandrababu Naidu promises 5-day week, 30% additional HRA for staff

The government is set to provide all the necessary facilities for those who work from the new capital of Amaravati.

Secretarial staff who move from Hyderabad to Vijayawada are being promised huge benefits by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. He has announced that in the new capital of Amaravati, the government will construct 5000 houses for employees. He has also approved their demand for a five-day week and 30% additional HRA. Landowners who give their land for the construction of the capital city will also get benefits, reported the Deccan Chronicle

The AP government has also accepted the demand of metta landowners for 50 square yards of land as additional allotment, stated the report. Chandrababu Naidu was taking part in the housewarming ceremony of the temporary secretariat. At the function, he reportedly said that the government is set to provide all the necessary facilities for those who want to work from the new capital. He would look after them like a family member, he said. 

Chandrababu Naidu also added that all those who take part in the governance of AP from Amaravati should see themselves as shareholders. Employees had requested that they commute from Hyderabad to Vijayawada for some time and he had granted the request. He added that issues like education were there, so they would need to resolve those. 

The AP CM has stated that he wants to build a world-class capital soon so that it gives strength to the Telugu people, reported the daily.
