Television actor Ankit Gera, who had participated in controversial show "Bigg Boss 9," has been roped in to play an important role on popular supernatural series "Naagin."
According to a SpotboyE report, Ankit, who rose to fame with shows like "Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke" and "Pratigya," will be introduced in the upcoming episodes. Although Ankit's stint will be short considering "Naagin" is nearing its end, the actor will have a prominent role in the second instalment of the show.
Meanwhile, it was reported that the makers of "Naagin" had decided to kill Shivanya (Mouni Roy) and Rithik (Arjun Bijlani) in the final episode. Even as the viewers might be disappointed with the change in the story, the report said that the lead pair — Shivanya and Rithik — would reincarnate in the second season. As for Sesha (Adaa), she would survive to witness the rebirth of Shivanya and Rithik. Also, Yamini (Sudha Chandran) is likely to reprise her role in the second instalment as well.
However, before the season finale, viewers will witness some romantic moments between Shivanya and Rithik when the couple will consummate their marriage. But Shivanya will lose her supernatural powers after her consummation with a human. Interestingly, she will regain her powers for a couple of hours only to take revenge from her parents' killers.
"Shivanya will be given an option of completing unfulfilled duties by getting back her powers for just 18 hours if she would give 'bali' (sacrifice) of a human in a certain yagna," the source told Tellychakkar.com.
"With Shivanya doing the yagna, Ritik will decide to sacrifice himself and help Shivanya get back her powers. However, there will be a twist in the tale, when instead of Ritik, his real father, Sangram Singh will sacrifice himself to aid Shivanya," the source had added.
