DMI’s ‘distinctive’ employees honored

Dubai Media Inc (DMI), one of region’s largest publications, on Monday honoured its ‘distinct’ employees within a strategy to encourage improvement and good work.

Many DMI officials and employees attended the honouring of “the famous of distinction” in various categories held at the Palace Downtown Dubai Hotel.

Sami Al Qamzi, DMI’s Deputy Chairman and Managing Director, said, the famous  ‘distinction’ prize offers the employees a ‘roadmap’ for success in their career, adding that it should motivate them to improve their work.

“I hope this prize will be a permanent group rather than an individual prize…I do wish that it will motivate all to work better and innovate in a positive spirit away from negative atmospheres,” he said during the function.

DMI’s strategy director and institutional distinction Ahmed Al Falasi said the prize is designed as an incentive for the employees to upgrade their production and achieve the government’s strategy to develop all its establishments.

“This can be done through moral incentives and better work atmospheres which encourage cooperation and positive competition in all sectors and units,” he said.

Qamzi and Falasi later honoured the winners of the prizes in all DMI’s sections including the audio visual and printed media.

The winners of “innovation” prizes include Ahmed Mohammed Al Hammadi, publishing executive director, Mouza Mohammed Fikri, Khadeeja Al Yousuf, Fatima Ahmed Al Falasi, Maytham Al Anbari, Rabeha Al Saadi, Shaymaa Al Beloushi and Salim Al Saadi.

Winners for commitment to TV and Radio national identity category include Ahmed Al Mansouri, director-general of the TV and Radio channels, Abdullah Khadoum, Hussein Al Manadi, Abdullah Al Sirkal, Ali Al Mousawi, Jumma bin Thalith, Khalid Al Rayhi, and Mariam Issa Al Nuaimi.

The winners in the administrative distrinction include Ahmed Al Hammadi, executive director of the publication sector, Fatima Marzouk and Ali Jamal Arnaout.

Winners in the photography section include Waleed Saadiya, Mohammed Azouz Ahmed, Atef Abdullah, Khalid Ahmed Mahjoub, Osama Kamaluddin and Nasim Yacoub.

Winners in the distinct joint government project helping prisoners release include Abdullah bin Issa, Ahmed Al Mazhmi, Sabiha Al Kitbi, Aysha Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Ahmed Abu Aida and Mohammed Fouda.

Individual winners in the “job distinction” category include Nour Al Beloushi from the printing and distribution sector, Fatima Al Falasi from the publishing sector, Hiba Al Samt from the TV and Radio sector, Haidar Al Hashmi from the administrative and finance sector, and Ali Al Zakri from the publishing sector.

Other winners include Mariam Al Marzouki, Mohammed Kamal Mohammed, Darin Shabeer, Nisreen Hafiz, Waleed Saadiya, Abdullah Hussein Bahenk, Rami Abdul Aziz,, Saleh Al Saadi, Jassim Al Shaheemi, Rola Badran, Ibrahim Salah, and Ibrahim Totojini.

Hotline winners in the innovative ideas category include Sami Al Riyami, Abdullah bin Issa, Ahmed Sultan , Sabiha Al Kitbi, Aysha Al Mansour, Wajeeh Al Subaei and Ahmed Salim bin Darwish.
